The fans who want Sterek? The fans who read/write/gif/draw/meta Sterek? Are the same fans who steamrolled the TCA’s. We are the same fans who bought DVD’s and shared them with our friends. We are the same fans who went to ridiculous lengths to grow Teen Wolf’s fanbase. We are the same fans that got Teen Wolf a 24 episode 3rd season.
MTV wants to understand this part of their fan base better. MTV wants to know what all the fuss is about. MTV, officially, isn’t *allowed* to know what all the fuss is about because fanfiction exists in a legal gray area.
This contest is a small white worksafe file cabinet in a veritable IRS archive worth of knotting porn gray area.
MTV is not doing Sterek fans a favor by creating this contest. Sterek fans are doing MTV a favor by participating in this contest.
